From San Francisco:

Local Market

Lakeshore Apartments are located in the Northwest part of Davis, a short distance from the UC Davis campus. The city of Davis is located in the central part of Northern California between San Francisco and Nevada. It is only about 15 minutes west of Sacramento. Access to transportation is excellent, with highway water, rail and air transportation facilities available within the county. I-80 provides an east-west transportation route with transportation service west to the Bay area and east to Sacramento. The city of Davis has experienced unprecedented growth in the 1960's and 70's as the university expanded. The 80's and 90's brought more moderate growth due in part to limitations on development imposed by the city. The labor force in general is well educated with an average education level of 13 years. The unemployment rate is well below state and national averages. UC Davis is the second largest employer in the region, after the State of California. Overall Davis is considered a stable community with moderate future growth potential. The Davis apartment market consists of approximately 65 percent single family units and 35 percent multi-family units. Davis currently has a strong apartment market with average rent increases of 4% and relatively low vacancy.
